Is it because children’s heads make for tougher target practice?

Let’s be honest here–I have less than three weeks to complete my research in Armenia, so I doubt I’ll be updating this site with original written content all that often. I will, however, be posting images from Palestine and Israel as I ply my way through the few gigs of photos I took while I was there. Also, here’s some of the latest news from the occupation, in case you have not yet had your daily dose of misery and/or reality:

- The IDF shot a 10-year-old girl in the head Monday as she was walking into a United Nations school in the Rafah refugee camp, according to a UN spokeperson. A 7-year-old girl was also injured in the sniper attack, which originated from a Israeli military tower a full 900 meters away.

- Israel is justifying the theft of Palestinian land in Bethlehem by means of a 55 year old law allowing for the appropriation of land “abandoned” by “absentee” Arab landowners.

- The trial over the IDF murder of British photographer and activst Tom Hurndall is near its conclusion, and an investigation by the Observer has “uncovered allegations of missing evidence, fabricated testimony and a military cover-up.”
