In my dealings with urban weeklies, I&#039;ve found them to be managed by small-minded mediocrities who dream about ad sales when they sleep and who understand no business, including their own. I got fired from Winnipeg&#039;s Uptown Magazine by just such a person for the crime of criticizing Israel. Long live the &quot;alternative&quot; press!</description>
